Returns

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your order. If you are not happy with your order send it back within 30 calendar days of the purchase date and we will issue you a full product refund.

Eligible returns must be in new, unopened, unused condition, and returned in the original manufacture’s packaging with all original accessories and manuals.

How do I start a return?

To ensure a fast turn-around for your return, you must request a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA) from us prior to returning the item(s).  Returns without an RMA# will not be accepted and returned to you at your expense.  Request an RMA#.

Are there items that cannot be returned?

Due to health and safety concerns of other customers, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for the following items:

  1. Apparel: Items that have been worn, washed, damaged, used, altered, or the tag has been removed.
  2. Undergarment, Face Covering, and Ear Plug: Due to health concerns and potential health code violations, undergarments such as boxers, briefs, compression shorts/pants, etc., face coverings such as face masks, neck gaiters, shemaghs, and ear plugs cannot be returned. All sales are final.
  3. Items that have be Opened, Used, Altered, or Missing Parts: Items that have been installed, fitted, or mounted on a firearm or other devices and show signs of cosmetic wear or usage, such as installation and tool marks, blemishes, scratches, or dents; or are missing the original packaging, manuals, disks, installation tools, screws, etc.
  4. Items Damage by Improper Installation: Installation of firearm parts and accessories should be performed by a certified armorer or gunsmith. Our return policy does not cover damage due to improper installation.
  5. Special Orders: Special order or customized firearms, parts, or accessories cannot be returned.  All sales are final.
  6. Ammunition and Other Hazardous Materials: For the protection of our customers and various safety and legal liability reasons, we do not accept returns on Ammunition, primers, black powder, lithium batteries, chemicals, oils, cleaners, coatings, paints, and most liquids including pepper spray and other items considered Hazardous. All sales are final.
  7. 80% Lower Receivers & Frames: Lowers and frames that have been modified or used in any way will not be accepted.  These items may only be returned in new, unopened, unmodified condition.
  8. NFA Items: Firearms and accessories that are regulated under the National Firearms Act (NFA) cannot be returned.  All sales are final.
  9. Used Firearms: Used firearms are sold As-Is.  We do not accept returns on used firearms.  All sales are final.
  10. New Firearms: Once a firearm is transferred to you from the receiving FFL dealer, we are no longer able to accept a return. New firearm purchased from District Armament can be returned, provided it has not been picked up from the receiving FFL dealer.  If a firearm that ships to your selected FFL is returned by the FFL due to a failed background check, or the firearm is not allowed in your state or municipality you will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.  See the section below for more information about your responsibility when buying a firearm online. 
  • Please read the following section carefully because it requires that you understand certain requirements about purchasing firearms from District Armament Company.

     

    ***IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN PURCHASING A FIREARM ONLINE AND YOUR OPTIONS FOR RETURNS***

    1. Firearm Inspection: It is your responsibility to inspect the firearm thoroughly to ensure that there are no visible defects while it is still in the possession of the receiving FFL dealer. If you notice a defect during your inspection of the firearm, do not take custody of the firearm from your receiving FFL dealer.  In this extremely rare case, please contact us at ffl@districtarmament.com and upon notification, we will contact the receiving FFL to assess the problem, which may include having it returned for correction, replacement, or refund.  Upon receipt we will carefully inspect the firearm and based on our inspection, we will either correct the defect or send a replacement firearm.  If the defect cannot be corrected and a replacement firearm is unavailable, you can choose a refund in the form of a store credit or a refund back to the original method of payment.  All returns are subject to our validation upon receipt.  If it is determined that the firearms was returned with no visible defects, we will issue you a refund, minus the cost of all shipping, insurance, and a 15% restocking fee.
    2. Failed Background Check: It is your responsibility to know if you are a “Prohibited Person” under ATF rules and regulations and will be unable to pass a firearms background check. If you fail the background check and the receiving FFL dealer needs to return the firearm, we will issue you a refund, minus the cost of all shipping, insurance, and a 15% restocking fee.
    3. State, County, and Local Restrictions: It is your responsibility to know, understand,and adhere to your State, County, and Local laws. If you attempt to obtain a firearm that is prohibited and the receiving FFL needs to return the firearm, we will issue you a refund, minus the cost of all shipping, insurance, and a 15% restocking fee.

What should I do if my package was damaged in shipping?

In very rare cases a package may be damaged during shipment.  If your package arrives and the items in the package are damaged, you will need to start a Return within 5 business days.  We will send you a replacement and instruction on how to return the damaged item.

What should I do if the item I received is defective?

All items we sell, unless otherwise stated in the product catagory or description are new and direct from the manufacturer and covered by the manufactures warranty.  In the event you receive an item that you beleive is defective, you will need to start a Return and tell us about the problem, so we can assit you a replacement and instruction on how to return the defective item.

How are return shipping fees handled?

Except in the case of damaged-in-transit or a defective item, original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable, unless the return is a result of our processing error.

  1. We will pay the return shipping fees for items damaged in transit.
  2. In a case where an item has been returned as defective, we will thoroughly inspect the item and if we determine it is defective, we will pay for the return shipping. If the item is not defective, we will issue you a refund, minus the cost of return shipping.
  3. In cases where the wrong item was sent, District Armament Company will pay for the return shipping.
  4. In all other cases return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.
